Matt Beneda
A native of Langdon, Matt Beneda grew up working on his uncle’s farm. His father was a county extension agent for North Dakota State University’s Extension Service. His parents are natives of Walsh County and his grandparents still reside here. Matt earned a degree in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University. He holds licenses to sell both crop / hail insurance and credit / life. In addition, Matt works as an ag lender (since 2006) and vice president at First United Bank. He serves the Grafton and Park River areas.


Julie Byron
Julie Byron grew up in the Edinburg area on a farm that her family still operates today. Her grandfather was an elevator manager. She attended the University of Minnesota in Crookston. Julie is licensed to sell crop / hail insurance, as well as credit / life insurance. She has also worked as an ag lender in the Park River location of First United Bank since 1995. Julie is an assistant vice-president at the bank and serves mainly Park River and its surrounding communities.


John Clapp
John Clapp is a native of Adams, where he started working on his uncle’s farm south of town at the age of 15. He attended Lake Region Technical College in Devils Lake. His father owned Security State Bank in Adams until it was acquired by First United Bank in 1992. In addition to his work with crop insurance, John works at First United Bank (and has since 1978). He acts as both an ag lender and vice president, serving as the manager of the Adams branch and helping customers in both the Adams and Michigan markets.


Jeanne Droske
Jeanne Droske was born and raised in Grafton, North Dakota, graduating from school in Grafton in 1980. She graduated from Aakers Business College (now known as Rasmussen College) in 1981. After college, she accepted a position with First National Bank in Grafton as a teller, and in 1990 she accepted a position in the insurance department as a CSR with Norwest Insurance Agency. Jeanne became a licensed agent in 1993 and received her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 1997. Jeanne accepted her current position as a licensed insurance agent with First United Insurance in May of 2003. She received her Certified Professional Insurance Agents (CPIA) designation in 2012.

Jeanne and her husband, David, have two children and three granddaughters, with another granddaughter due in February 2015.


Tim Dvorak
Timothy L. Dvorak was born in Prairie Center Township on March 23, 1955 to Sidney and Godfrey Dvorak. He moved to Minto, ND, in 1962 and graduated from Minto High in 1973. He attended college at Devils Lake Junior College in Devils Lake, ND. Tim has been involved with the insurance industry since 1983 when he worked for Farmers Union Insurance in Maddock, ND. He then moved to Grafton, ND, to work for Bremer for the next 16 years as manager of their agencies in the Red River Valley. He began his work for First United Insurance in 1999. Tim, his wife Cori and children reside in Grafton, ND.


Dianne Goodoien
Hoople resident Dianne Goodoien works both as a customer service representative for First United Bank and as an agent for First United Insurance. A native of Park River, Dianne has more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance. She sells crop insurance.


Dan Johnson
Dan Johnson is long-time resident of the First United Insurance service area. He has an agricultural economics degree from North Dakota State University. He has served as a member of the Valley-Edinburg School Board and the Grafton Vocational Center Board. In addition to selling crop insurance, Dan serves as a vice president and ag lender at First United Bank in Hoople and Grafton. He is a past chairman of the North Dakota Bankers Ag Committee.


Grant Lindell
Grant C. Lindell graduated from Adams High School in 1975. He attended NDSU where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture economics. He worked for the North Dakota Agriculture Mediation Program as a negotiator from 1986 – 1990. He started work as a loan officer in 1990 at the Security State Bank of Adams, now known as the First United Bank. Today he is Branch Manager at First United Bank of Michigan. Grant is licensed to sell crop insurance. He is married, has four children and resides in the Adams area.


Chris Midgarden


Wendy Oistad

Wendy Oistad graduated from Stephen High School. She graduated from Moorhead Tech with a general secretarial degree. Wendy worked for the Vaaler Law Firm in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for six years. In 1979, Wendy went to work for Reichert’s Insurance in Hoople, North Dakota. Wendy joined First United Insurance as a licensed property and casualty agent when it purchased the Reichert Agency in August of 2001. She received her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2005.

Wendy and her husband, John, reside in Hoople, North Dakota. They have two daughters, one son-in-law and two grandsons.


Roy Patton


Howard Ray
Howard Ray was born and raised in Hamilton, ND, and graduated from Cavalier High School in 1961. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and math from Mayville State in 1966. He began his banking career in 1970 with Grafton National Bank, which is now Wells Fargo. He joined First United in 2001 as a vice president of agricultural lending. He has been involved with crop insurance for many years. Howard has been active in many community activities. He and his wife Karen, a first-grade teacher, have three children and reside in Grafton.


Steve Rehovsky
Steve Rehovsky graduated from Oakes High School in 1979, and attended UND for one year in aviation administration before transferring to NDSU where he received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics. He began his career in Milbank, SD, for Norwest Bank as an ag loan officer. He moved to Park River in the fall of 1985 and has worked primarily in the area of ag lending and insurance sales. He and his wife Carol have four children and reside in Park River.


Cheri Stabo
Cheri Stabo graduated from Milton Osnabrock High School. She earned an associate of arts degree in accounting from Mayville State. She was employed as office manager for Close Construction, Milton ND for 12 years and joined the staff at First United in January 1999. She is licensed in Property & Casualty, Crop Insurance and Health & Life Insurance. She received her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2004. Cheri was promoted to Manager of First United Insurance in 2006 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2008. Cheri and Steve Stabo have three sons and reside in Edinburg, ND.


DeAnne Vigen
DeAnne Vigen was born and raised in Adams and graduated from Adams High School in 1972. In June of that same year, she began employment with the Security State Bank of Adams as bookkeeper/teller. DeAnne has been with the bank of Adams all but four years of her banking career. She now serves as operations/loan assistant at First United Bank of Adams and is licensed to sell crop insurance. DeAnne and her husband Wayne have two children and reside in Adams.
